Hey guys, fairly new to linux but just finished completely overhauling - or at least it feels that way - my new kubuntu laptop I intend to use as a file server to my HTPC. K torrent seems so far really good, but I'm having some trouble getting syndication do what I need it to.
I have regular downloads going to a specific folder in a share and then folder watch grabbing anything I dump in a specific folder. I also have everything lined up with rss feeds to specific series, their own filters for automatic downloads and all that works fine. I really can't figure out how to make the filters copy files to their specific folders, nothing seems to work. I have the filters also pointing to the folder I want them downloaded to, never happens, I also have have it automatically add the download to a custom group and the group also has instructions to copy to that folder, but the filter doesn't seem to add the download to the group - I'm not sure if the group will copy the file to the folder yet, waiting for a Download to complete. Any help here please guys? If syndication can't do this maybe there is something else that can? Tearing my hair out ![]() |

The download location of the filter seems to work fine in the latest trunk code. What version are you using ?

Seems to work fine with latest stable code, you should try upgrading to 4.0.4

Ok will do.
I have reinstalled, and now I seem to get what I am looking for. Maybe I fiddled until it broke. If I was to set my RSS feeds' filter to download to a specific location in Syndication and also have it set to auto add to group with the same download location instructions... Now does this not work with ktorrent's default download location? It seems that if I had to set this in ktorrent then syndication wouldn't work. Is that correct, any way around this? Fred. |

There was a bugfix in 4.0.4 which made sure that the syndication filter overrides the save location set in the group.
