Crash gets rid of all groups

Wed Nov 24, 2010 2:54 pm
Hey. I'm running KTorrent 4.0.4 on KDE 4.5.3 on Arch Linux.

Ktorrent managed to crash during the "Opening blabla.torrent" window. Now a crash is just inconvenient.

The problem is, when I restarted, all my groups were gone. It took me god knows how many hours to put all my torrents into groups again, and then later today, it crashed again, this time in the "edit group" window, and all my groups are gone again.

Can someone please tell me there's a way to restore groups? I can save time by first using the tracker grouping script, but this is still very much a pain.

It looks like things are crashing when the groups file (~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/groups) is being saved.

Do you have a backtrace of the crash ?

Afraid not, and i'd rather not intentionally recreate the crash. Is there any form of useful log I can provide you with or should I update with a backtrace when I can?

I think there was no groups file after the crash though, I looked around for a file like that and there was nothing.

Logging will be useless, need a backtrace.
