Hi,
I'm using ktorrent on an ubuntu server, and a the moment I'm having to reboot it occasionally (nothing to do with ktorrent). The trouble is that I have to reset the schedule each time.
It's version 4.03 and the scheduler looks to be built-in rather than a plugin. At least, it's there without me having to load it. I've created the schedule I want to use, and saved it. I'd like ktorrent to automatically load the schedule file on startup. Is there any way to do that? maybe by using a particular filename, or saving it in a particular location?

While I was searching, I looked in your wiki, but didn't find any info. However, if you go to the front page and click to view 'all pages' you'll see that you've been hit by spammers quite badly. Just a heads-up.

Also, I don't know if there are different degrees of difficulty you can set for the kaptcha code to subscribe here, but yours is _horrendous_! It took me half-a-dozen tries to register, and although I wear glasses I don't think I'm colour blind. If I was I'd have had no chance.

Thanks for any info you can give,
George

The scheduler is a plugin, it can be unloaded (go to the plugins tab). Normally the last schedule is restored when you startup again. It is saved in ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/current.sched, is that file present, and does it contain anything if you shutdown ktorrent ?

Yes, I need to clean that up

Is it that difficult ? Maybe I should make it a bit easier.

You're right, I must have selected it some time ago and forgotten!

There was a current.sched file, but it was wrong. When I quit ktorrent to see if it updated it, it reported a segmentation fault. I assume that must have happened before on reboots etc before the file could be saved. I'd manually saved the schedule I wanted so I could reload it, and copying that to the filename you gave has solved my problem, thanks.

I'm not bothered about the segmentation fault, as I've not had it happen while running. I'll update soon anyway.

Thanks again.

Do you still have the backtrace of that segfault or maybe the bad file ?

KT should be robust against corrupt scheduler files.

Sorry, I didn't save the details, and your version is already past the ubuntu repo version, so I just assumed it wouldn't have been relevant.
If I see it again I'll take better note.
