I'm using Funtoo (based on Gentoo) with gnome. Ktorrent 4.1.1 and KDE 4.6.3. How do I get the normal tray menu with quit, suspend etc?

Note: I've never had this prob in Debian, is this something new in the newer version?

Those items are shown under KDE, but not in gnome apparently. I will have to investigate this.

Debian updated to KDE 4.6.3 and Ktorrent 4.1.1 and I'm having this prob. It's also broke the KDE theme and the RSS stopped working (downgrading ktorrent didn't fix either probs other than tray.

Ugh, didn't explain RSS prob well. On 4.1.1 it says something like process died unexpectedly or something and on 4.0.2 it just says it failed.

I'm also getting...

Note: ALL of these only happens on Gnome not KDE.

Restart fixed everything but the theme prob and the tray menu. Half has like a standard silverish but the rest is like white. It looks so ugly.

I can't do much about the whole style mess, but what RSS url's are failing ?

RSS got fixed with restart. The only probs I have now is the style (which you said you can't fix) and the tray menu.

Tray menu thing is already fixed.

As for the style, I would start looking at the KDE style settings and the gnome style settings.

Not in the Debian version. I guess I'll have to get the latest version and build it.
