Hi all!

Few days ago I installed Kubuntu 11.04 who came with KTorrent 4.0.5 version.
The thing is it does download from public trackers (tried only thepiratebay.org), but does not download from private trackers.
I also want to mention those "private trackers" are in my country (Latvia).

In short when I added torrents from private tracker they dont download it just says with exclamation mark "Stalled"!

How can we fix it?

What errors do you get in the trackers tab ?

The exclamation mark means that all the announces to these private trackers failed.

It could be that the tracker is blocking ktorrent.

For errors see attachments.

What should I ask in those trackers to determine if it is KTorrent issue or their (inperil & newoutlaw) ?

newoutlaw has deleted (blacklisted) that torrent, so you're out of luck using them for that. inperil's tracker may just be offline, or it could be dead for good.

For those two specifically copy and paste the info hash of those torrents into a search engine and find it somewhere else (which will probably include additional trackers). You can also manually add the open trackers from this post viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4162

To test your ability with private trackers in general, find another private torrent and test it, but the two errors you show are valid tracker errors and not errors with KT.

Anyway guys in Kubuntu Forums helped me.
Just needed to set different port. I set 43876.

Do KTorrent have an option for "random port at each restart"? I didn't find...

Where you download the torrent and where the tracker is, are two different things. Look at the URLs for both...
