Is there a way to schedule Ktorrent to go full throttle during certain times of the day?

During the day I've set the maximum upload speed to 50 KiB/s, but at night when nobody is using the network, I would like it to go full throttle and use all available bandwidth for uploading.

You can use the bandwidth scheduler plugin to do this
