This is a real PITA, I have all of my files 100% downloaded and everything works alright if I was to access them from my hard drive using Ubuntu 11.10.

However, when I right-click on Open Directory>Data Directory, it tells me which file to open it with. It would be nice if I could simply open the contents of just the file folder itself and have no problems opening the file from there.

For example, let's say I have a simple PDF, I wan tto simply open it from the folder that it is in, then open it like I usually do with a file :).

If someone could help me, it would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

You should configure your file assocations properly. You can do that in KDE's systemsettings.

You can also open files directly in the files tab (right click on the file -> open), but this also depends on KDE's file assocations.
