Hi all , really really new to ktorrent on a new box , still stumbling around in the dark a bit when it comes to the mint / linux interface but have to say overall I like it. Couple of questions if some kind soul can lend an ear ? .
I love the speeds I'm seeing on Ktorrent , unreal compared to what I have been getting on utorrent via os x not sure what the difference is but I'll take it, however I run a WD network drive that I pretty much dump all of my torrent stuff to , for some reason when I try and specify that drive in "configure - ktorrent" and the folder tab , I can see the drive no problem but it refuses to actually change , just stays at the home/ default , I can drag n drop the file over once its done coming down via file manager but sure would like ktorrent to just put it there to begin with.
2nd thing , due to the ummmm "cough" current climate for torrent users I like some run a proxy server for downloads , I setup socks section in ktorrent , and as dumb as this sounds my speeds are better than anything Ive seen in a long long time , bears some more investigation but Im wondering is there a way to check that the torrent traffic is... actually going thru the proxy server ?
