just recently, vuse for some reason, refuses to download any of my showRSS feeds. i have changed the settings in both showRSS and vuze, but with no success.

i have set up ktorrent to read my RSS feed and it does it correctly. i have set up filters to download each show to a specific folder on my HDD's. when i exit out of the filter, the new show is recognised and starts to download.

after the download has completed, the file does not show up in the folder that i earlier specified in the filer. instead, its downloaded to its default (hidden) location in the home folder. yes i can move the file from the home folder using the "Move Data" option in the pop-up menu (when right click on torrent). and yes this does move this to the folder that i specify.

but is there a way that i can set ktorrent to download to a specific folder on my HDD's and not to the home folder, which is on a SSD?

if this cant be done, then i'll have no option but to find an alternative. as it keeps writing to my OS SSD. and as we all know, SSD's have a limited write limit/life span.

Under Settings > Configure ktorrent, I see an option to set the default save location. If you set this to your downloads path, it should just work. See the following screenshot. See how my downloads are placed in my Downloads folder? Does this option not work correctly for you?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have set the default location to my download folder on my HDD. I have also set the "move completed files" to the same location. But it still continues to put the files into the default locatin :(

Have you checked the settings of the RSS feed plugin (as well as each RSS feed individually) to see if it has a separate option to control where files are downloaded to?
