Blimey, what an ordeal trying to view these forums and then sign up was! But now I've finally got here can anyone give any insight about the IP filter in KTorrent? Either it is buggy, or I don't get it.....
In KTorrent 2 or 3 (the version that came with KDE3 on Slackware 12.2) when you banned a peer (by r-clicking in the peer list and "ban peer") their IP would end up in the IP filter, from where the banned peers could be managed. But in KTorrent 4 the IP filter only seemingly gains IPs when manually added. Banning peers from the peer list seems to work as expected (ie a banned peer goes away and does not come back), but there does not seem to be any way to manage banned peers (unless the IP filter box and buttons do things without giving any visual clues). I'm on Slackware 14.0 with KTorrent 4.2.1. Cheers |
