I use the SBOPK browser. found here http://www.sbopkg.org/

Kdenlive really depends on xine audacity and gimp ffmpeg quicktime recordmydesktop MLT
for all the function's to work
below is a list of all the stuff to build first these are default sbo builds. You must build all of
Step:1 to build Step:2. for Step:3 then Step;4 for Step:5 to build kdenlive.
needs to be done in this order.

if you are ok with the performance from the opensource nvidia driver then just install libvdpau
from SBO read below for proprietary Nvidia.

Use of nvidia proprietary driver you must use the nvidia libvdpau from nvidia installer. do not install the
libvdpau from slackware. if you have used the slackware sbopk for nvidia uninstall libvdpau and the
nvidia driver. reinstall mesa and then install the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-319.49.run from runlevel 3 this is for
the stock kernel 3.10.17 for Slackware-14.1 and Slackware64-14.1

Here is a big tip that helped me build all these from SBO on a fresh install
of !!Slackware64-14.1 only!!! some of these programs will default to /usr/lib in the
search during there configuration or build.
I do not at advise this to be the correct method but Darn it works.
CREATE THE SWITCH I CALL IT
I rename /usr/lib to /usr/lib~ and then switch it back when I am done.
DONT FORGET TO SWITCH IT BACK. This has helped me many times while building on
slackware multi arch. no mater how many times I exported it and /etc/profile.d
Take that up with the master of multilib the Alien Bob himself.

I really wish I could just let you people have a copy of all the builds !BUT!
This build do to license's can only be put together by you.
if you already have a multilib arch installed the switch is a must trust me
it caused me a lot of problems.

STEP: 1

faad2
OpenAL
opencore
orc
opus

openjpeg
dirac
dvdauthor

libass
libavc1394
libdc1394
libbluray

openvc is huge you may want to just download it from ponce this built version.
http://pkgs.org/slackware-14.1/ponce-x8 ... e.txz.html

Step:2
faac
frei0r
schroedinger
jack-audio-connection-kit

Step:3
remember to pass this on to the script VAR=yes/no ./ffmpeg.SlackBuild
I edit the options on in SBOPKG. to VAR=yes/no
ffmpeg-2.1

Step:4
we need the dependencies not ffmpeg it hasnt been working with audactiy since
ffmpeg 0.7.11 or around there. ffmpeg is ever changing.
Support for optional dependencies can be enabled passing the script
optional parameters, such as:Aduacity
FFMPEG=yes (requires ffmpeg - BROKEN ATM)
SOUNDTOUCH=yes (requires soundtouch)
TWOLAME=yes (requires twolame)
VAMP=yes (requires vamp-plugin-sdk)
audacity
libquicktime
mlt

Step:5
kdenlive-0.9.6

!!!!!!DON'T FORGET TO switch back /usr/lib~ to /usr/lib/ !!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a serious studio you built.

you can get my Slackbuild kdenlive-0.9.7-with source.

Any particular reason you didn't just download the KTorrent packages and 'installpkg' them?

very simple reason why. I use Slackware repositories and then edit my build script to build native to my cpu.
my kdenlive rarely sees a crash building this way. As for the ktorent packages I really find that to be a hassle.
I do it the Slackware way.
