in first time i have installed Ktorrent 4.1.3 automatically using Ubuntu software centre, then i have compile and build Ktorrent 4.2.0 / libktorrent 1.2.0 ...Ktorrent got upgraded successfully and the version shown 4.2 under About tab.

the Question is Ktorrent by default will use the older or newer version of libktorrent ?how to figured that out

because both are installed in system ,,do i need to remove the older version of libktorrent?

KTorrent will should use the version it was built against - so if you compiled libktorrent beforehand, and ensure that version was found by CMake when configuring KTorrent to build, then it should use that version.
