I have a laptop and a desktop computer. I would use ktorrent in both, can I put download ktorrent on an external usb disk and use it on both computers and this gives problems?

Will the two computers have the same version of KTorrent?

now yes. If they were different versions would not be possible?

Depending on the version difference it is possible the metadata would be incompatible - preventing them from being exchanged between the two systems.

In this case, sharing ~/.kde4/share/apps/ktorrent/, ~/.kde4/share/config/ktorrentrc and any other relevant directories configured in KTorrent itself (such as the downloads and partial downloads directories) should be sufficient in theory I would imagine.
