hello,
using KTorrent (Version 4.3.1 / Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.9) and deleted / dropped the Downloads tab. tried the + button on the left but it only adds "All Torrents" tab. i don't care about all torrents, i would like Downloads and Uploads. anyway to get Downloads tab back? thanks in advance, c.bucher |

It doesn't add an "All Torrents" tab, but rather a general tab that displays "All Torrents" by default. Open the "Group View" (either in the menu under "View" or by clicking on the button in the tool bar, and you can change what the current tab displays by clicking on the corresponding group in the "Group View" on the left, i.e. click on "Downloads" and your current "All Torrents" tab will become a "Downloads" tab. |

Thank you for your quick answer, alas, this doesn't work for me: i clicked on the group view visible button (in the toolbar) and clicked the option in the view menu - alas for me it only moves the torrent list a mm or so to the right (activate) or the left (deactivate), that is adds a column (?) which i can't see nor expand. what am i missing? found the handbook online but no mention of group view. |

Well, try to resize/maximize the window. Or move the mouse to the left edge of the main view, it should change it's shape then and you should be able to move the "splitter" by clicking and dragging and so resize the group view. |

Turns out that i had slid the group view completely to the left and then it seems it is not possible to expand it again. Feature, bug? i finally shutdown KTorrent and
after restarting i got ride of the group view in the view menu & dropped the All Torrents tab as well as hiding useless columns (Downloaded in Uploads tabs?!? Time seeded in Download tabs??? and many more, but that's maybe more personal) thanks for the help! |

I can expand it fine here even if I move it completely to the left, i.e. resize it to zero. But if you move the mouse cursor too far to the left, you'd rather resize the window instead. The mouse cursor shapes should be slightly different in those two cases, although that depends on your configured mouse cursor theme.
Yeah, removing the config will reset everything to the defaults, the GUI, but also other settings. I suppose that's what I would have suggested next anyway... |

i have indeed a different mouse cursor (Large Mouse Cursors) but i logged in as another user (with default cursors) and it turns out the cursor is the one for lateral resizing in either case. But in either case, if i approach the side slowly enough and click as soon as the cursor changes i can re-size the column. Wretched GUIs
thanks god, Linux is still file based - fix the right file and you are in the clear well, that is, if one can find the right file... |
