Ktorrent missing tabs at the bottom

Tue Apr 09, 2019 7:28 pm
Hi,

I cannot get back buttons/tabs at the bottom of Ktorrent.
I see only buttons for Queue Manager and Magnet Downloader, but the rest are missing.
I would really need the Files button, but I cannot figure out how to get the buttons back. I don't know when and why they disappeared in the first place...

For XFCE:
In your package manager right click on KTorrent
Details > Dependencies > install (Optional Dependencies:) "geoip: info widget plugin"
Start KTorrent.

For KDE:
In your package manager reinstall KTorrent
In the optional dependencies window select "geoip" to be installed.
Follow the instructions to start re-installation.
Start KTorrent.

I'm using Arch Linux and there is no optional dependencies geoip.

I really miss "bottom panel" where I was able to see each file for multifile torrent on one tab. On another tab I was able to see the torrent's link.

Is it a way to take the panel back?

Hi,

a bit late but I use Arch Linux as well and I hit this same issue recently.

For posterity, the way to solve is just to install geoip via the package manager (i.e. pacman) and reinstall ktorrent.

For example, by running the following command:
Code: Select all
sudo pacman -S geoip geoip-database-extra geoip-database ktorrent

Hope this helps!
