System:
Kernel: 6.1.11-zen1-1-zen Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 5.26.5 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2400G RAM: 8GB (2x4-2133MHz) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU Drivers: 525.89.02 Proprietary I've run into an unexpected issue with KTorrent (22.12.2-1) refusing to start at all. Attempting to start KTorrent via the GUI makes the icon appear and circle the cursor while also appearing in the icons-only task manager for a few seconds before disappearing. If attempting to start via the terminal, it prints out the error Warning: QMutex: destroying locked mutex on the first attempt (attempting to start from the GUI also counts) and any subsequent attempts will show no errors. Attempting to start KTorrent with sudo privileges also didn't do anything but throw a kf.dbusaddons: DBus session bus not found. To circumvent this problem try the following command (with bash): export $(dbus-launch) error. Solutions I tried:
Downgrading to several older versions of KTorrent via downgrade. Deleting the configuration files found within the .config folder in the home directory with backups present. Uninstalling KTorrent and all of its dependencies, restarting the system, then re-installing KTorrent and all of its dependencies. Switching to Wayland instead of X11. Changing my KDE global theme from Relax-Global back to Relax-Light-Global, then to Breeze. Verified that the TCP and UDP ports used by KTorrent weren't in use by any other program via lsof. |

The problem mysteriously fixed itself. No actions were done on the host machine to solve the issue.
