Hi,

When I grab the vertical scrollbar in Kate a small popup appears with the first and last line numbers that are currently displayed.
I enable/disable the line numbers using a single keystroke, F11 (View|Show Line Numbers) as needed.
This popup is superfluous and very distracting.
I searched, checked Settings|Configure Kate, View|xx, but was not successful in finding the answer.

How do I disable this popup?

Thank you.

Can you please post a screenshot of the tooltip/popup you are seeing? You may need to use the timer function of KSnapshot to capture it.

That's a new feature in I think 4.10 and I don't think you can turn it off.

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.
