Hello. Huge fan of KDE . Right to the point:

Problem: Kwrite (and Kate) have slow or choppy scrolling issues on my setup. It's as if it gets "stuck" and I have to really work the scroll to get it going, but it often gets stuck again.

Note: There was another post on this forum perhaps related but did not yield a solution for this particular problem. The post is here for reference:

Information

1. Using virtual box (latest version, 22 cores, 2gb ram, max memory for video, WIndows 10 host)
2. Using the latest LTS Kubuntu 64bit (16.04)
3. KDE Plasma Version: 5.5.5
4. Qt Version: 5.5.1
5. Choppyness/Lag in other applications is rare (including Konquerer)

Any ideas would be much appreciated!
