Looking on https://phabricator.kde.org/D4537 Kate seems that is supporting editorconfig files.
Also now debian compile kate with this support (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=876063) so Kate seems that have to support it on Debian.
Looking also the code seems that is reusing the stuff for support kateconfig so seems that everything need to be available.
Now the question is, How I can check if this support is valuable on Kate?
Looking on the docs say that I have to enable a settings in open/save->advanced about search config file depth but I cannot find that.
I am trying to understand if kateconfig are supported to be sure of the behaviour in any case (I see on Advanced->File type that I can configure the specific variables of the kateconfig).
Someone can help me to understand if the build that I am using support or I am missing something to use them?
