Program don't start

Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:39 pm
Hi

I have two computer with kde under linux.

I use netbeans on both.

To start netbeans, I click on a file named: netbeans.

It's a bash file (whithout extension). right click file in general tab said: scripts sheel

One of this computer, instead of starting netbeans, that open file.

Any way to start program when clicking it?

thanks

Double-check that the script file is executable: Right-click -> Properties -> Permissions, ensure Is executable is checked.

Alternatively, you can set up a shortcut for it so it will show up in the menus and launchers and stuff. You can do that either through the Menu Editor or by creating the link yourself in ~/.local/share/applications/ using Create New -> Link to Application.
