Since WFH (yep, we've just started our WFH policy here), I've been trying to figure out how to work with Kate remotely.

I ran into the problem of project in the left panel not loaded correctly (showing <untracked>, with only main.cpp opened) for the mounted directory, which is from our office server.
I've set up the .kateproject config and the Kate can load it correctly on our office server. After some very discouraging googling, I found out it is just VERY, VERY, VERY SLOW for mounted projects to update, like 30~40 min slow.
I have a ping of ~25 ms from the server and throughput can be as high as 12mbps for my home network. However, the "scanning" or whatever Kate is doing to build the project, it took only ~40KB/s(~320kbps) of my network both Tx and Rx. It took me around 30 min for the project to update.
Not really sure what caused the slowness, is it a bug? Anyway, just posting here since I didn't found any relative information out there.

BTW I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 with Kate 17.12.3 but I don't think that matters.
