Hi everyone! I am a 16 year old highschool student. I have been designing websites for a few months now and have successfully created 3 websites on my own. I started this as a new hobby and have learnt this mainly by self studying from the internet. I’m exploring some interesting topics on web designing and I am trying to become a full stack developer.
I am currently exploring the possibilities of using Linux for web development. I heard from someone that we could set up KDE as a website design environment. I searched for it on Google, but I didn’t quite understand the idea. Can someone tell me how this can be done? And please tell me where I can learn this from. I’m now working with a web design company in Toronto as an intern. I need some useful advice to perform well and make a good impression here. |

KDE for Web Design to broad a setting to have meaningful definition. Just search for "web development in Linux" and see what setup you like.
As for KDE options: IDE - Kdevelop Code Editor - Kate But the following are also popular: Atom, VSCode / VSCodium and maybe try Eclipse Wild Web Development. You need to specify what technologies / frameworks you use in web development to give you any more specific advice. Lastly, please be careful what you share on the web, for example where you or where you work. |

KDE Plasma can confuse the novice user with its degree of customization. As options tend to pile up over options, the user gets lost. But it's not such a complicated customization language. You can get by with the basic initial settings. I've used products for ambitious businesses, and I can tell you that it might be a good solution to your problems. But if you could use some practice in any related field, you could look at ready-made web designs. I have worked with various designers, and some are helped by this experience in planning the stages of development.

From how you described your experience, and the fact that you learned everything on your own, I think that it's already enough to impress the company where you are doing your internship, as a 16 year old high school student. You could also try to do your internship in this company WebCitz.com, they have a very original way of web design and programming, I think you could learn a lot of them, this would be a very precious experience, because I saw how good are the websites made by them on my own.

Setting up KDE for web design can be done by installing the necessary software and tools, such as a text editor and web development browser extensions. You can find tutorials and guides online for how to do this. Additionally, you can also use the KDE Connect feature to integrate your Android device with your Linux desktop.
To become a full-stack developer, you'll want to learn a variety of programming languages and technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a back-end language like Python or Ruby. It's also important to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, such as funnel design which is a method to optimize the user experience and conversion rate of a website. |
