So I have an ASUS UX550VD laptop with nvidia Optimus and it's not working very well with monitor sleep states (DPMS).

Waking up from standby works fine, but from suspend takes a while, like 2-5 seconds, and as a result all open windows change size and get moved to the active screen.

Could someone please tell me which system components are involved in the process of moving open windows when connected screens change?

I want to play around with it to see if I can improve it.
