umbrello 4.2.1 keep on crashing

Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:01 pm
Hello there.

I'm using Umbrello installed from KDE4 repo: http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... SUSE_11.1/

additional info if I do umbrello -v
Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 103"
Umbrello UML Modeller: 2.2.1

The thing is that It keep on crashing. I've already report this as a bug but maybe you can help me out since the info I get after crash is:
Code: Select all
Unable to create a valid backtrace.

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces,
or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash.

And after that no backtrace:
Code: Select all

Maybe try removing your configuration for Umbrello:
Code: Select all
rm -f $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/config/umbrello*

I already removed it.

Also I've upgraded to QT 4.5.0

umbrello -v
Code: Select all
Qt: 4.5.0
KDE: 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1) "release 103"
Umbrello UML Modeller: 2.2.1

And I still get very often crashes when making new classes, making aggregations etc.

Code: Select all
This backtrace appears to be of no use.

Please install the Qt, KDE Libs, and Umbrello debugging patches so that a valid backtrace can be generated.
Also, can this be reproduced on a new user?
