I am looking at taking up programing, and though python seems to be popular and most supported, I am leaning towards ruby, for no other reason than positive juju. I was wondering if the kde-ruby bindings/qt-ruby stuff is well supported. I know python is more useful and supported, but I always lean towards ruby....I just don't want to learn it and have not much use in the long run...since this would be more of a hobby and I don't see myself having the time to focus on learning multiple languages at this time.
thanks

This is a good place to start
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials#Ruby Furthermore, Ruby is a wonderful language though it is somewhat slow. A good choice .
