Hi,

I've just started to learn Emacs and I would like to know if any of more experienced Emacs users have any tips and tricks specific to KDE and Qt development. Maybe you also have some tips for C++ in general.

Thanks in advance.

in my opinion (and everybody can trow stones) emacs is a great operating system, but I cannot find it's text editor.
it's too much complicated. I prefer Vim if I'm using text-only, and Kate on normal session.

No flames, please.
I am not using emacs, but maybe that could be interesting for you: http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdesdk/ ... kde-emacs/
A bunch of extensions to emacs for kde development. Didn't try it, but maybe that helps.

Thanks for this link. I don't know how I could forget to look into kdesdk module for this. I already use some things for GDB from here but I just forgot to look for Emacs stuff.

Oh boy, oh boy, I'm sure notepad on Wine will do it for you.
Emacs is not only an operating system by itself - it can be a lightning fast text editor or coding IDE once you took the time to RTFM, it's not harder than that.
