Hello,

is there a way to display additional/more information about a file in the KDE's file properties window?

Example:
In Pardus GNU/Linux if I run the command "pisi info PACKAGENAME.pisi", than I get a brief information about the *.pisi - package. I would like to display this information in the file properties window too - maybe in a new tab?

Is this possible?

Maybe through a KPropertiesDialogPlugin http://api.kde.org/4.x-api/kdelibs-apid ... lugin.html

Might also need a Strigi/jstreams analyzer for getting the data out of the file.

My suggestion would be to ask the question on the kfm-devel mailinglist. It is the one for file managment related development and most developers from that area of expertise are subscribed there.

Cheers,
