Development Qyoto/Kimono

Sun Feb 28, 2010 7:48 am
Hi,

in 2 weeks I could be getting a new Job and for that job I will need to know how to program in C#
I never had contact with those languages before as I have been using Linux and KDE for a long time..
I went to our local book store and bought me an thick Book about C#, so far so good.. But since I am on Linux and using KDE, I really dont want to install Windows just for this (havent touched that OS for 9 years)

Now, I know mono dont have a good reputation in the Linux world, but I realize that now that I need it, and for that I am glad mono exist :-)

Now that I have to learn C#, I want to learn it on KDE/Qt and make applications using my preferred toolkit.. That would keep me motivated, and be fun....

So here are my questions, what is the status of using mono on KDE/Qt? reliable?
Any IDE availbe for C# on KDE, does KDevelop support it? Other??
Where can I find good documentation in using C# with KDE/Qt?

Would really appreciate some help on this, big thanks....

You may wish to ask the people who work on KDE's Bindings ( kde-bindings@kde.org ) regarding this.
