Hello. I'm new to Amarok. I recently downloaded Amarok, and I love the interface and all that, but Amarok doesn't seem to detect my ipod when I plug it in. I have a 6th generation 160gb iPod running windows 7 and amarok 2.6. Any suggestions to get Amarok to detect my ipod?

I went into settings > configure amarok > plugins, but all I could find was upnp was checked, daap server was checked, usb mass storage was checked, etc and so forth, and even the local backends were checked, but I unchecked them to see if that was the problem. I'm gonna sound stupid, but please bare with me, where does it say check ipod ipad collection?

Can you check to see if the plugin shown in the screenshot above is present in any case?
If it is not, it is likely the Amarok on Windows was built without it for various reasons (which could include the underlying libraries which support it not being available under Windows).

I got the same problem. All I did was download Amarok 2.6.0 for Windows. It seems to be missing the mentioned iPod plugin. Is there a way to add it?
Currently there is even an entry under TODO on http://community.kde.org/Amarok/Getting ... ad/Windows saying " i-pod support, building of libgpod is possible but device is not recognised by solid." Does it mean that libgpod is now included or not? As said the plugin does not show up. Who is the maintainer of the Windows package, so that we could ask directly? Thanks! |
