I installed Amarok 2.6 on windows 7 but Amarok does not start.

Here is what DebugView shows:

[2504] Warning:QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
[2504] Critical:unnamed app(2504): KUniqueApplication: Cannot find the D-Bus session server: "Failed to get autolaunch address from launched dbus-daemon"
[2504]

What should I do?
Thank you

Hi
this could be an issue with your firewall, dbus is needed for the communication between the KDE processes and uses a local network connection to achieve that.
A local network connection is completely harmless but some firewalls are a bit to strict and block such connections.

Could you please tell me which firewall you use, and if you know how could you try to disable the firewall for a test and try to start amarok again?

Thank you, I use windows 7 default private and public firewall and my routers firewall (Huawei). I disable them an try again.

I disabled all firewalls, tried to start again Amarok, but with the same result and the same debug message...
Any other idea?
Thank you!

Also when I click on Appearance or Language settings I have this message Image

Are they related problems?

I found the answer: I was using a custom host file to block ads. Once I restored it works!

Thank you for helping me TheOneRing, your reply made me think that it could be the host file!
