Hi there everyone,
I just installed Amarok tonight on a Win Vista machine. Starting the app for the first time, I notice that my mapped drives (residing on an xp machine) are missing from the list of drives to select for my music. Looking in addons, both NTFS and SMB are enabled. I've tried disabling those and re-enabling, but the problem persists. So far, this is the only music player I have that can't see the drives. Banshee for win, Songbird, Clementine and Foobar all pull from the drive with no issues. Any thoughts on how I might resolve my issue would be greatly appreciated! |

Which exact Amarok version and from which source did you install?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Are these drives already connected (i.e. you can see the files using windows explorer) when you start Amarok? It's unlikely that the other players are doing something special to automatically mount them on windows, so I guess for it's is just a view problem. Filesystems on Windows are very different then on Linux, the OS just about all of use develop on. |

I have the exact same problem. Amarok 2.6.0 on Windows 7 does not recognize me network shares (provided by Samba from a Linux NAS).
The shares have been activated on startup of Windows. Is there any solution for this issue? Otherwise it is not possible for me to put the collection on my NAS - like I used to do with iTunes. Thanks. |
