Hi all,
finally I'm able to use Amarok under win (8 version) too; I used it under my linux boxes with maximum satisfaction, and I've always sponsored it to all my friends.
First of all: win is not my natural environment, but I've to use it for a while and I decided to try Amarok for my actual workstation.
Let's talk about issues I encountered:

  • I cannot choose a different path (from win music folder) to my music folder in 'files' menù item: I have two partition to separate data from system, so I need to choose that folder which contains my music. I'm able to select a folder only in "c:\"
  • In 'local Collection' I cannot view my music collection sorted by My folder organisation: I'd like to view my directory tree 'cause not all of my music has an id3 tag correctly set (and I dont wanna do it)
My impressions:
Generally amarok is a little slow, I think is due kde library it has to load before starting in an not natural environment (but this is not a problem for me), often I view my cursor in "load mode" during use. However it works well!

By the way, I want congratulate with you all for this beautiful port project.

I presume you use the Amarok 2.6 version for Windows, right?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
