im running a windows machine and i really like amarok. i would like to work on a port for windows. i cant get the source the conventional way since im not on a linux machine. i think this would be a good way to take the open source market into the closed source windows market

amarok 2 is going to be based on QT4 & KDE4.
Now QT3&4 have been running on windows since forever. but the magic here is that kde4 libraries will run on windows as well. if you're serious then you are free to checkout the kde4 codebase and build the libraries which amarok 2(tech preview) needs to run. then build amarok 2 against that. once you've done that then feel free to join the irc channel on irc.freenode.net #amarok and contribute to making amarok 2 awesome. |

Or even better, check out this page http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Development/Win32 which tells you how to get Amaerok 2 building and running on Windows.
