Hey there,
I don't quite get the status of the actual amarok development on windows. Is there an active development and are there still plans to release amarok with an own installer on windows? What about iPod support on windows, I really want to get rid of itunes. At the moment the ml_ipod plugin on winamp does well but amarok would do better (as the ml_ipod plugin consists of gtkpod). thank you. |

Amarok development on Windows is moving a bit slower, mainly because the dev working on it is extremely busy. You could check by asking the mailing list - easiest way is to use the feedback form on http://amarok.kde.org

The problem with this is that we are using the KDE component "Solid" for hardware detection, which was originally Linux-only. But Solid is now about to get ported to OSX and Windows too, so that we will probably see improvements soon. E.g. see this article: http://labs.trolltech.com/blogs/2009/03 ... id-dragon/
