can you try adding your music folder to your collection? then use that to add music to your play list?

As I remember, Amarok shown not only fonts in that lettering, and show that lines with some sorting. Not simple sorting but sorting with various colours. And some moment going not right under windows.

Maybe that app want some font that I haven't. I can't found that moment in KDE Settings (under windows). Under Linux I can change font for kde app. kde2, kde3, kde4.

Hello,

I am having a similar problem.
I am running Windows7
I followed the installation instructions.
I installed both Amrock and VLC as per the instructions.
I set VLC to be the backend process.

VLC seems to run OK standalone, but when I try to run Amrock, I get the following message:

Unable To use the VLC Multimedia Backend.
The Shared Library was not found.

Any idea of what is going on?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.
I only installed VLC because the installation instructions specified doing so.
VLC seems to work OK standalone under Windows 7 in terms of playing audio and video files (I did not try streaming, or other features).
I do not have Visual Studio installed on my PC.
Amarock gives the error message that I noted in my earlier post with either the default MPlayer or VLC selected as the backend. By the way, I was never instructed to load a separate program for MPlayer. Is it already bundled in the Amarock installation?

I would be happy with whatever installer or configuration instructions you can provide that would allow Amarock to run properly under Windows 7.

Thanks very much for your help.
