Dear all,
I'm an Evince user, and although I'm quite happy with it, it doesn't have many annotation features. Okular does, I'm starting to use it and so far I'm quite satisfied; all the things I'd do on physical paper I can do in Okular. There's only one little feature that so far I haven't found in Okular: revert the article colours. This is something I can do with Evince, simply be pressing Ctrl+i, for an eye friendly reading experience. Could someone explain me how to do this in Okular? Thank you. |

KWin offers an effect that inverts the colours of the whole workspace (meta + ctrl + i) or a single window (meta + ctrl + u).

change shortcut(s) with systemsettings -> desktop effects -> all effect -> invert -> wrench

It should also be noted that okular does indeed have that feature (under settings -> accessability), what it lacks is only the possibility to set a shortcut for it. If you need a shortcut, you can -- as said -- for now resort to the kwin effect, which does sort of the same (except that it will invert the menu bar etc. colors too).
I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

This doesn't work for me. Thanks for posting in any case. |

My version of Okular (0.14.3) doesn't have these menus. Perhaps available on newer releases? |

In the 0.14.3 version the menu path to invert colours is slightly different: Settings -> Configure Okular -> Accessibility -> Change colors. But in the end it does what I need. Thanks. |

no, this is how to change the keyboard shortcut for inverting either a window or a the desktop using systemsettings not Okular |

System Settings is a separate KDE application, which can be accessed either through the Kickoff Menu, or through KRunner.
Alternately, you can run "systemsettings" in a terminal application.
