My tutor has just emailed me a .okular file, with annotations on an essay I've written.

I have a mac, thus am struggling to open the okular file, I'm no 'whizz' on my mac, and therefore think the install of okular to my laptop sounds very confusing!

I was wondering if anyone would be able to convert the document to pdf or another viewing format that I could read on my macbook, if I sent them it via email?

Best,

Mark

if anyone is interested I opened it in Okular and then did a print to pdf, unfortunately size went from 48k to 960k

anyone know of other alternatives ?

update: the conversion to pdf seems to only work with inline notes, not the popup variety, so the best I could do was to provide the related .xml file that contained the actual popup notes - is there a better ways?

my bad,

In order to properly export the notes, using File -> Save as it should be enogh, if you have a recent enough version of poppler. See the documentation:
http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdegraphi ... l#menufile
File → Save As...
Save the currently open file under a different name using the document backend. With the PDF backend (Poppler >= 0.8 required) it is possible to save the document with the changed values of the form fields. It can be possible (provided that the data were not secured using DRM) to save annotations with PDF files (Poppler >= 0.22 required).
