good morning and happy new year to everyone s !
the main issue that brings me here is the following : A) One of the big problems I read the net for okular is not integrated into the pdf annotations us to do , what to me is the main advantage why I opted after much searching for this great reader. My particular need is that I need to use that famous file that is saved separately with annotations to use that information to write data into a db and generate statistics, where the file is saved , what name and extension? ( I have mad to search files and do not locate , or by text content entered in a note or looking at the files generated in the last hour ) As a side I would give two possible improvements ( point B I think it will be satisfied in the next review as I read ) : B) Custom annotations. Would be nice to have our note as a template to facilitate the task of the auxiliary I want to develop software for the need described above. C ) In addition to adding notes I wish they could add links to other documents ( also in our extra- file , that is, without updating the original pdf) Hugs, my congratulations and my thanks to the developers. Regards, El Iñaky PD.: I'm sorry for my Tarzan English Language and Google Translator ![]() |

In terms of annotations, they are saved in XML format in ~/.kde4/share/apps/okular/ unless you have a recent version of Poppler - in which case Okular will save them in the PDF file itself.
If you want to use it with annotations on another computer, then selecting "Export As > Document Archive" from the file menu will allow you to do this more easily (be aware that this is only Okular compatible however).

searched files were located, thank you very much
For me the xml format is perfect, and I do not want to be incorporated into the original pdf file. Are perfectly usable to locate information fields, create records in databases, generate statistics, etc.. You only need to enter the information in the notes with a default template for every need for a simple software that can discriminate and use such information. thank you very much and happy new year! |
