Hello,
I want to add inline notes to some documents. When I write one, it appears a rectangle with a border around the note. I would like to know, if it's possible to suppress that border. I had a look at "properties" for inline notes, but I saw nothing. And there is something I don't understand. If I have a look at the documentation here: http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdegraphics/okular/annotations.html At the paragraph "Editing annotations" I see a screenshot of the "properties" window. Under appearance I can choose the type of the shape (here rectangle) and the inner color. In my version of okular I can only choose: color, opacity, font, align. I'm using okular 0.18.2. Is something wrong with my version of okular ? Thanks for the help! |

Which version of KDE are you using (as noted in the About KDE dialog in Okular)?

Yesterday I have installed a new version. It's KDE 4.12.3 and okular 0.18.3. |

That screenshot was taken from a shape known as an "Ellipse" - which has different settings to those offered by the inline note i'm afraid.
It would appear that the inline note shape is not customisable at this time.

Now I see, I have found this option with the shape "Ellipse". Would it be possible to make the inline shape optional ? I want to only write some texts, I don't want to write a texte in a shape. I have found this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159008 It's a very old bug. Does it bring something if I write a comment in this bug ? |

It could possibly bring the bug to the attention of the developers, however there are no promises that would lead to it being implemented.
In terms of making an inline shape optional - that would require a feature request, and would probably be subject to the limitations of the PDF format.

Ok, will consider to add a comment in this bug or open a feature request. Thank you very much for your help!
EDIT: I have just found this feature request: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332117. I will probably add a comment in this feature request. |
