Bureaucracy to check the revisions

Wed Jun 18, 2014 2:01 am
To create highlight (called revisions) we must press "F6", then a number (for example the4). So, for each time that we want to hightlight a new line we must press again this number 4, if we want a new remark.
To check the reviews after this process, we must open the table of revisions, and for each revision pass thought a tree of options (usually four clicks): first for the "page 10", second for the "user", double-click (third and fourth) for finally see highlight on the pdf: this process is to every highlighted.

If these options could be done on less clicks, it would increase a lot of time saving, since the clicks to check the revision on a tree are just useless if compared to a single click to check each one; and the manual job to highlight the lines for every time pressing 4 and then holding the mouse, are aswel unneeded.

My request is, if there are some way to check the revisions faster, or to create hightlights with a permanent highlight without pressing numbers4 to each highlight.
Don't know if this is the right area, but I'm not a pro on foruns and such.
If it isn't, and if you could redirect to the right area, I would be glad.

Thank you!

Double click and the annotations remains enabled. See:
http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdegraphi ... ations-add

Not sure about the revision part: once you open the revision pane and expand the tree, you just go and click on the annotations; the tree does not collapse (afaik). What is the expected effect you would like to have? Single click instead of double click?

Nice. An advice would do good for the ones who don't know.
But excellent, thank you very much.

The desire would be:
-Click Revisions to open the tab:
-see already previews on the hightlighted text and not "page 11".
Something like:
["pg11 A wise son brings joy to his father..."]
["pg55 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding"]

But only a strict click when click on the box "page 11" would be great.
I don't understand the utility of that tree.

Uhm, but then some different wording would be needed when the annotation is not an highlighter.

I'm not sure if a similar request is already filed on bugs.kde.org. You can file a new wishlist for sure, but please keep in mind that the Okular team is quite small, made of volunteers and the work is more on the real bugs. Of course code contributions are always accepted :)
