Hi
I have a pdf document which has forms (combo boxes with a tick as one of the choices).

When I attempt to select that tick I get the message
warning: layoutText: cannot convert U+2714]
U2714 represents the tick.

I understand that this message comes from the Annot.cc source within the poppler library.

So I modifed the pdf to use the font
ArialUnicodeMS
which I have also installed on my Fedora system.

However I still get the error message and it looks like its because the pdf is using an embedded font.

i.e. font properties gives me
MWINCV+ CID TrueType Embedded(subset)

Two questions:-
1) Is there a way to change the pdf file to not use the embedded font, but to use the external installed font which I know has a tick present within it?
2) I would have thought that the embedded font would have a tick present in it, since a tick is present in the combo box???

Thanks for reading this.
