fyi Okular is a gui front end to the Poppler libraries which do the actual PDF rendering

let's try and see if using kdebgdialog generates any helpful messages
run kdebugdialog -> deselect all -> search in box for okular -> select all -> ok
close okular, start it and then try and opening a problem file - any errors found will be in the end of file ~/.xsession-errors

Starting Okular throws this messages:

not sure about those messages, I assume a non problematic file doesn't throw them ?

those messaged were display in Konsole or kdebugdialog? if Konsole you should run the kdebugdialog I reference earlier

if you scan a document as gray scale instead of color is the last page viewable?

looking on bugs.kd.org and searching okular with either color or blank I found nothing comparable so you might want to submit a bug report

If you can put a problematic doc on the web so I can retrieve it I'll see if it works for me

Yes, if I scan gray scale it works fine

If you can put a problematic doc on the web so I can retrieve it I'll see if it works for me

try at 84.170.207.140/scan.pdf (I hope this works I am not an expert on webserver isues)

Thanks

1st I will say your much better at webserver issues than I ;)

2nd assuming you provided be 2 pages what you provided seems fine to me (note: I compressed and shrunk them)

assuming the issues is the Poppler libraries these are the ones I have installed
poppler-tools-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
libpoppler-glib8-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
libpoppler-qt4-devel-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
libpoppler-cpp0-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
libpoppler-qt4-4-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
libpoppler-qt5-1-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
libpoppler-devel-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
libpoppler46-0.26.5-1.1.x86_64
poppler-data-0.4.7-1.2.noarch
also running Okular poppler-data-0.4.7-1.2.noarch

not sure what you should do next but:
1) updating the poppler libs if possible
2) test as a new user
3) post on your distro's forum see if it's them or your system

finally

I don't know whether you've found a solution to this. If so, please, post...

I have identical problem: HP scanner, last page of pdf files is displayed blank in Okular, but not in Acroread... It all used to work fine time ago, but after one of the OS upgrades, this problem appear...

Many thanks.
