Why only Save As? (i.e. why no direct save?)

I like the annotations in okular but am finding it really annoying that it opens a Save As dialog everytime I ctrl-s. Is this normal/deliberate behaviour? Can I customise this? Or am I being silly?

Saving directly via Ctrl-S, or rather behaving like a standard text editor wrt. to saving, is supported since KDE Applications 17.12 / Okular 1.3.
