Zoom level changes on document reload

Tue Nov 10, 2020 12:09 am
Hello! I use Okular to display pdf documents generated with pdflatex. In my workflow I rely on latexmk to recompile the document each time the tex source changes, and therefore the new pdf replaces the old one in Okular. Most of the time this works OK, but every now and then, for no apparent reason, this reload triggers a change in the zoom level: sometimes the zoom increases, sometimes it decreases. In any case, the effect is annoying, since I have to manually adjust the zoom to the previous (i.e., desired) level.

Do you have any idea about this issue?

UPDATE: I see now that my version of Okular is rather old ("Version 0.24.2, Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.16"), since I'm still using Ubuntu 16.04. I have to try using a more recent Okular release.

Thanks!
