Okular architecture and backup

Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:30 pm
Good day to all!
I'm by no means a superuser guy so my understanding is rather limited.
If backup up my Linux/ubuntu(18) system, which location should be included to save my settings/customized annotations?

I also wanted to reassure myself about: The statement which is still very prominent on the internet, saying that okular stores annotations not within a pdf but locally.
I spent quite a time wondering why I could then send off plain pdf's with the annotations still visible for anyone else. I then learned to print as pdf with annotations marked off and that a separate file is obviusly a thing of the past (viewtopic.php?f=251&t=141963&p=399233&hilit=backup#p399233). Right?

Thanks a lot!
Chris
