some okular annotations not working

One of the strengths of Okular is the annotations toolbar. However, the typewriter and inline annotations are not properly working. In both cases, the text is invisible.
I am using Okular version 20.12.2 installed in Linux Mint 20. Any help is appreciated. Cheers, |
