I try to open a cbr file with Okular but it can't open it. It complains about the absence of unrar or unarchiver. I have the latests WinRar and Unarchiver (from Trend Micro, Inc.) installed. Putting UnRar.exe into the bin folder of Okular installation doesn't solve my problem. What should I do to open crb files with Okular on Windows 10 Pro?
Thanks in advance. PS: Yes, I know it's KDE based forum but I can't find anything on Internet related to my issue. ![]() |

i don't know about linux, but based on your question i tried unrar-ing a cbr on windows with the unrar i managed to find on the web and it does not work. However, if i change the extension to .rar it *does* work. [this is for unrar only, independent of how it interacts with okular]
maybe that's worth pursuing - thanks! do you know any unrar-ers that work on .cbr? I know 7zip does, but okular doesn't seem to work with it. maybe if i copy the 7zip executable and rename it to 'unrar'... ![]() something has to work, unless it is compiled some way to just pop up the error message and not even try. it's a bit disingenuous of them to call it 'universal', i think ![]() |
