Hello,
after using xfce for some time I managed to switch back to KDE and give okular a try. Unfortunately I found that its pdf font quality is not even comparable to evince. Fonts seem to appear narrower and less readable: http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/8692/snapshot1o.png (okular is on the left) Here viewtopic.php?f=19&t=7814&p=11181&hilit=okular+poppler#p11181 it is stated that this is an old problem related to the poppler backend. So does anyone confirm the persistence of the problem? any workarounds? Anyway I tried to convert pdf to ps with pdf2ps, and as a result fonts appear a little more shapely but with a too sharp edge and much slower rendering. Kubuntu 9.10 + backported KDE 4.4. ciao, frasty

If possible, try to update poppler to 0.12.1 at least.

Ok, just upgraded poppler to 0.12.2-2.1ubuntu4 and, as you can see http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/8379/snapshot2rn.png, fonts are now rendered accurate. Thank you pinotree ciao, frasty
