Printing odd and even pages

Tue Mar 02, 2010 8:43 pm
When I upgraded from Qt 4.5.3 to 4.6.1 and from KDE 4.3.4 to 4.4.0, the drop-down menu "Page Set" is now present in the "Print..." dialog, with options "All Pages", "Odd Pages", and "Even Pages" available. However, it does not seem to obey the "Odd Pages" and "Even Pages" settings; it prints all the pages regardless of what I've selected. I've tried this printing to a real printer on CUPS, printing to a Postscript file, and printing to a PDF file.

(I'm printing to a printer on a CUPS server on the local network, which is autodiscovered by the CUPS daemon on my local machine using the broadcasting protocol. My local machine is running CUPS 1.4.2, and the server is running version "1.3.8-1+lenny7" from Debian Lenny. The real printer I tried this with is configured in CUPS as a "Generic PCL 6/PCL XL Printer"; it's actually a Lexmark Optra E312. The only program I've tried this from yet is KWrite.)

Does it work with another application such as Okular?
