Hi,
I'm on Ubuntu 12.10 (gnome), using digiKam 3.1.0 with kipi-plugins. It's been reported that with digiKam 3.1, the facebook export doesn't work, probably due to changes in facebook: invalid url is given back when registering kipi-plugins for upload. See e.g. here: http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/digikam-devel/2013-May/067948.html Now, I've an annoying problem: the system attempts to launch the said url at regular intervals, several times a hour. This happens both with firefox and with chrome, regardless of whether digikam is running or not, and even if I disable the facebook kipi-plugin in digiKam. I've tried clearing browser caches/browsing data, checked startup programs, checked digiKam and kipi-plugin rc files etc. I'm not sure whether this is directly related to digiKam/kipi or not, but does someone have an idea what might be going on here? |

if there is no KDE app that uses the Kipi plugins running I would doubt it's a KDE issue
try disabling Facebook in gnome-control-center -> online accounts http://askubuntu.com/questions/303473/facebook-account |
